What Are the Shared Services Excellence Awards?
The Shared Services Excellence Awards are a global IQPC initiative dedicated to acknowledging the achievement of excellence in the Shared Service arena. The Shared Services Excellence Awards have been established to honour, recognize and promote Shared Services Organizations (SSOs) that demonstrate true best practices. To identify and assess these leading organizations, the Shared Services Outsourcing Network has assembled an accomplished panel of Shared Services experts and leaders to accurately and objectively evaluate the true effectiveness of top SSOs.
First place and honorary mention Awards will be announced and presented to the 2008 winners at the Black Tie Gala Dinner Awards ceremony held on the April 1, 2008 at the Shared Services Week 2008 in Orlando. The top four entries in each category will be denoted as finalists and will be contacted in advance of the Awards ceremony. Winners will be highlighted and promoted at Shared Services Week 2008, the largest Conference Exhibition devoted entirely to Shared Services, and in Shared Services News, the only monthly journal dedicated specifically to Shared Services issues and perspectives. Additional coverage may also be provided in other publications, announcements and websites.
Shared Services Excellence Awards are open to all SSOs in all countries.

Application Categories
There are seven award categories which can be entered:
- 1. Best Mature Shared Services Organization (3+ years in operation)
- 2. Best New Shared Services Organization (under 3 years in operation)
- 3. Shared Services Thought Leader of the Year
- 4. Process Improvement & Innovation within an SSO
- 5. Shared Services Employer of the Year
- 6. Best Customer Services Delivery Framework
- 7. Best Business Process Outsource Provider
Each individual application will be considered in isolation for that award, and you may enter as many or few categories as you choose.

How to Enter for an Award

The questionnaire has 2 parts:
- General Questions – To provide the Judges with background to your application
- Category Specific Questions – To provide the Judges with the reasons why you are eligible to win the specific category (s) you have entered. You need only answer the questions for the categories you are entering.
Please note that:
- All contents (figures, photographs etc) of each application are confidential
- Winning companies individuals will be promoted as such within IQPC material, however all application content will still remain confidential as the winner sees fit
- By entering for a 2008 award all applicants accept:
- That as a potential winner they will be required to participate in the Q&A session with fellow winners at Shared Services Week 2008 (on the morning of 2nd April, 2008 – following the previous evening’s gala awards dinner)
- That the winners’ names and winning categories will be published in IQPC post-conference material

Rules, Regulations Procedures for Entry Submission
To be considered for the 2008 Shared Services Excellence Awards, your entry needs to meet the following requirements:
- Final entry submissions must be sent ONLY in the form of the application questionnaire. Please follow the instructions and complete all relevant sections for the award category(s) your are entering. No added appendices please. Please email your completed entries to USAwards@SharedServicesWeek.com
- ONE completed and signed Administration form must also sent with your questionnaire to give company's permission and consent to enter in accordance to the rules.
Ideally this form will be downloaded, signed, scanned and sent back to us an email attachment with your application questionnaire. However, if you prefer, this administration form can also be signed and faxed to us separately on +00 1 212 461-4951 to complete your entry.

- The entries must be received by 11:59pm GMT, Friday 22nd February, 2008
- We are unable to accept late entries. The contact person listed on the Application Submission Form will be contacted via e-mail upon receipt of your entry.
- All entry forms must be complete and contain the signature of the entrant.
- Each entry must answer all questions relevant to the categories being entered. Failure to answer any relevant portion of the application may result in the forfeiture of the entry.
- All applications must be in English.
- Nominations may also be made on behalf of individual colleagues and external organizations individuals. If an internal individual is selected for the final shortlist, the Shared Services Network Outsourcing will contact the person directly to ensure they are happy to be published as a finalist.
